Wellness Massage Therapy is an Elite Personal Care
Service that uniquely brings luxurious professional
pampering into the convenience and privacy of your
home, hotel or office. An expert therapist will bring
a portable massage table, flannel linens, creams,
aromas, and meditational music.
The personal wellness treatment will transform your
home, hotel or office into a sanctuary of soothing
relaxation. A confidential health status form will
be filled out before the session in order to best
assess your physiological needs. My commitment is
to restore and enhance your body, mind and spirit.
At my site you'll find some history about why I chose
massage therapy as my career as well as useful information
for all. Make sure to check out the "Contact
Us" page so that I may help you personally
with any questions you may have.
I chose massage therapy as my career because when
I was seven years old my father would ask me to rub
his neck and shoulders. I would do it without worrying
about the amount of time I spent doing it because
I enjoyed it. I would tell everybody when I grew up
I was going to be a massage therapist. As I got older,
friends from work would walk up to me on the job and
ask me to work on their necks, shoulders, and backs.
I knew I had a gift because 1) I enjoyed doing it;
2) I would receive a big "Thank You" from
my friends afterwards.
I received my training at the Greenville School of
Therapeutic Massage in Greenville, South Carolina.
I have been Nationally Certified since 1998. In order
to maintain my National Certification, I must complete
a minimum of 50 hours of continuing education during
the four-year certification period. In September 2002
I took the New York State Exam for Massage Therapy
and received my licensure in October 2002. I am also
a Professional Member of the American Massage Therapy
Association.
On the first session, clients complete an intake form
and then discuss their goal for the session which
sets tone for the treatment. All treatments are individually
tailored for the client. Depending on the client's
needs, several sessions may be required to achieve
their goal.
It is up to you if you want to chat during the massage.
Some people like to chat and I will chat with them.
Usually though, the client will rest peacefully and
enjoy the session.
The massage cream I use is a Dual-Purpose Massage
Creme by Biotone. I chose to use this massage cream
because it is hypoallergenic, contains NO peanut oil,
and it will not leave you feeling like you need a
bath at the end of your massage!
In
addition to the massage cream, I use Young Living
therapeutic-grade essential oils based on your needs.
